The Apex Preadators

Named for the apex of a roller derby track, the Apex Predators are our fiercely competitive A-team, where GRD's top-performing skaters put their skills to work.

The Bridge Trolls

Named for the Greenville's famous downtown Liberty Bridge, the Bridge Trolls are our hard-working B-team, where skaters sharpen their skills, build leadership on the track, and push themselves toward the next level of competition.

Volunteers

GRD is grateful to have so many awesome volunteers who make everything we do both on and off the track possible. If you're interested in becoming a non-competing member of our team, you can learn about volunteer opportunities here and come to a recruitment event.

Fresh meat/Tier 1 Skaters

During our 12-week Tier 1 program, "fresh meat" skaters learn skating basics, how to safely hit and take hits, and the WFTDA roller derby ruleset.

Tier 2 Skaters

Once skaters have mastered their fresh meat skills, they choose a skater number and graduate to our Tier 2 program for more personalized instruction to further hone their skating and gameplay knowledge before becoming bout-eligible.

What are Home Teams?

The Mill Town Terrors and Paris Mountain Punishers are two non-competitive home teams within GRD that give our A & B teams a chance to mingle and play for fun.
