1-4pm - Skills Clinic
Pavilion
400 Scottswood Road, Taylors, SC
Clinic is open to MEN and WOMEN skaters with the following skills:
- Backwards Skating (Fluid)
- Basic Transitions
- Basic Mohawking (minimal)
You will learn:
Reverse Blocking and Footwork Spinning
* Bean dip
* Spin move
* Shaping to your opponent
* Reverse Skating Follow Through
* Reverse Skating Crossovers
* How to Swoop and Snare
* How to Toestop Glide
* How to do the One-Footed Transition
You will learn some of the vital mindsets involved in building such a defense and how to continuously improve those skills as you progress in your roller derby career.
Each drill will have a demonstration before, during, and ending to ensure appropriate knowledge retention.
Please arrive 15 minutes early and be geared up. The class will begin at 1pm sharp.
